Taking screenshots of concepts then adapting them into questions has been saving me mountains of time. I stick with it because at the time, even the name brand flash card apps did not have the functionality Flash Card Hero had, such as attaching a document or-the best part-generating multiple choice questions.Īs I now study for a big test, Flash Card Hero is my go-to and always has been a life saver. I have had FlashCard Hero since my freshman year of college almost a decade ago and it has only gotten better. This will be the first review I have ever written, mainly because I am beyond satisfied with this product. Maybe this is a feature I haven’t found but I’d like to be able to tag my cards, e.g., I’m following along a cert guide and find info related to one topic in different chapters (and that’s ok, it makes sense for author to do that…) I’d like to be able to put a tag so I can say all of these cards are related to “objective 10” …. A ONE line tall tool bar could easily take care of this and give me back roughly 20-30% more room for my card.ģ. Why? So I can change alignment, select bullets, etc. Please for the love of whatever replace the side bar with a simple, small bar up top. I imagine there are other use cases…ĭifferent text size would come in handy for desktop app and ipad app as well…Ģ. Different fonts would help make this obvious. Need a few font options - you don’t need to go crazy and give me 50+ I’m in IT and like to differentiate between command output and just regular note text. There are a few things that keep it from being 5 stars for me…ġ. With this download, you get all features right away.įor the most part I like the app. The App Store might list the app as having in-app purchases, but those are only for backwards compatibility with an earlier version of the app. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads. Note: This app is a single, one-time purchase. You can also organize cards into topics (to match chapters of a text book, for example). That’s because Flashcard Hero is designed specifically to go beyond language learning, offering more room on each card for facts, lists, and images. Here’s a short list of the most popular subjects based on the over 2 million cards that users have shared among each other so far: - Medicine (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, genetics) - Psychology - Law & business administration (economics, marketing, international law) - History and politics - Languages (Latin, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Spanish, German) - Social sciences - Music and music theory - Space physiology (how cool is that?) - Many more… You see a lot of subjects in the top ranks where people have to memorize a lot of “structured” information. People use the Flashcard Hero Mac & iOS apps to study many different subjects. You can use the iOS app as a remote to control the study mode on the Mac while you are projecting on a big screen. Write cards on your iPhone/iPad - Add images - Group cards into topics - Text formatting & lists - Find and study only difficult cards - iCloud Drive support (syncs with the Mac app, which is a separate purchase) Study Options: - Memorizing cards by covering the answer - Multiple Choice tests with randomly picked or predefined answers - Supports studying with the Spaced Repetition System (Leitner Box System) For Teachers and Educators: - Compatible with the Remote Control feature of the Mac app. You can add images, lists, and use text formatting to structure your content. We made Flashcard Hero for those of you who want to fit more than a few words on each card. Flashcard Hero keeps track of what facts you already know so you can focus on what you don’t know and save a lot of time. Make your own flash cards and take the pressure out of test preparation.
